The Controversial Report: Antioxidants
“We are all chemistry,” said one. “And physics, and mathematics,” I might add, but let’s stay in the chemistry and particularly in the oxidation reactions, those who were studying at school in which the molecules appear to have special affection to get close to oxygen. These reactions are part of life, metabolism, and the energy exchange. In addition, oxidation is the mechanism by which age, our cells die, and cancer develop.
In these processes, free radicals, molecules with a particular affinity for oxygen, have a leading role … and a household name Inian market. Because look what sounds good “fight free radicals” in an advertisement for Creampie or miracle pills. And if these compounds are called antioxidants anti radical, another name guachi, and we mounted the TV commercial, but cautiously worded vague convincing enough, just in case: “Our product with antioxidants that help fight free radicals responsible for aging.”
